The Westchester Council of the Blind has joined the Lions in their Oct. 27 Live Audio Theater “spooktacular” at the Larchmont Village
Center — the recreation of the 1938 radio production of “The Witch’s Tale – Frankenstein.”

The production, presented by The Sandbox Players, will include 2 blind actors — Evelyn Reiter and Audrey Schading and blind technician — LM Lion Nick Sarames. The Witch’s Tale, which aired from 1931 to 1938, was the first horror-drama on radio. The program was hosted by Old Nancy, the Witch of Salem, who introduced a different terror tale each week. The event will also include a talk on the real history of Frankenstein and a classic video appropriate to the Halloween season.
Support of the blind & vision health is the signature cause of the Lions. This event reflects the efforts of the Larchmont Mamaroneck &
Port Chester/Rye Brook Lions at bringing existing audio media and organizations for the blind together to create opportunities in audio
media/theater for enjoyment & participation.

“The Witch’s Tale Frankenstein” is a joint community effort with the Larchmont Library, the Sandbox Theatre, Westchester Council for
the Blind, SPERDVAC (The Society for the Preservation of Radio Drama, Variety and Comedy), VISIONS, The LMC Media & the Larchmont
Mamaroneck & Port Chester/Rye Brook Lions Club.
